Impact Moving to Saturday Nights!
One of the really awesome things about being the Youth Pastor at Sapulpa Life Church is that I have the creative freedom to try new things and adjust to my heart’s desire. I’m trying to get myself in the habit of planning extensively and thinking weeks if not months ahead at Impact, and this is the result of that. Effective this week, we are moving Impact to Saturday evenings at 5pm.
We realized that with the school year coming up, we didn’t want to have to compete with homework or Football games in order to get kids to come to Impact. Having it on Saturday is great because the students won’t have to worry about school and can concentrate on what they’re hearing that night.
Also, we decided to have it a bit earlier – 5pm. The reason for this is simple: We want to be something of a meeting place where teens can come to church and meet up there before heading out to the movies or whatever. We also want to be able to build upon that, so we can schedule events to happen after service on Saturday if needed.
